Client Journey: What If I Want Another Baby?
When this client first came to me, she wasn't just looking to get stronger.
She was carrying around a fear that many moms don't talk about.
After having two children, she and her husband were considering a third. The problem was that her last pregnancy came with significant pelvic pain that didn't magically disappear after birth.
Four years later, she was still dealing with it, even though she was active doing fitness classes and walking.
The thought of going through another pregnancy terrified her.
What if the pain came back?
What if it was worse?
What if she couldn't keep up with her kids?
What if her body couldn't handle it?
Those are real fears.
And if you've ever experienced pelvic pain, leaking, back pain, or felt betrayed by your body, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
So we got to work.
Not perfectly.
Because spoiler alert...
No client is perfect.
And that's kind of the point.
I don't coach robots.
I coach real women. Moms specifically.
And moms are busy.
Kids get sick. Work gets crazy. Motivation comes and goes. Hormones do hormone things. Vacations happen.
The goal was never perfection.
The goal was commitment.
She committed to showing up and learning how to trust her body.
She implemented habits.
She worked on her nutrition, not just to support fat loss or energy, but to support her overall health, her cycle, and her body if and when she decided she wanted another baby.
We worked on breathing.
We worked on her core and pelvic floor.
We worked on posture, alignment, and those tiny habits that often create big discomfort over time.
We worked on teaching her body how to move, support itself, and manage pressure better.
And little by little, things started changing.
And this is where the story gets really cool.
Fast forward….
She got pregnant!
But this pregnancy looked very different.
She went through her pregnancy without the pelvic pain that had scared her so much.
Instead of feeling helpless, she had tools.
She understood her body.
She knew how to adjust.
She knew what helped and what didn't.
One of my favorite moments was when she climbed the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes on a field trip with her little while pregnant, and I was lucky enough to be there to celebrate that huge win with her.
If you've ever climbed those dunes, you know that's no joke. 😆
Fast forward again...
She delivered a healthy baby boy via scheduled cesarean birth and entered postpartum with a completely different foundation than she'd had before.
Instead of feeling lost, scared, or disconnected from her body, she knew what to do.
She understood how to support her healing.
She knew how to reconnect with her core and pelvic floor.
She had tools to manage symptoms before they became problems.
Most importantly, she trusted her body again.
And that's what this work is really about.
Yes, we want less pain.
Yes, we want stronger cores and pelvic floors.
Yes, we want to feel confident in our bodies.
But the real transformation was that she stopped being afraid of her body and started trusting it again.
Because motherhood doesn't have to mean accepting pain as your normal.
And your future doesn't have to be limited by what happened during your last pregnancy.
Sometimes the biggest win isn't a smaller pant size or bigger muscles.
Sometimes it's realizing your body is capable of so much more than you thought.
If you're experiencing pain, discomfort, leaking, or feeling disconnected from your body and wondering if things can actually get better, I'd love to help.
